Bill Hicks

I've been listening to a lot of Bill Hicks lately.  He's one of my favorite comedians, and definitely one of the most overlooked.  If you've never tried him, you should.

He mixed the observational style of this last generation of comics with sharp cultural and political observations without ever getting preachy or didactic.

It's a shame he died so young.

Here's an Amazon link to his records:  http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/103-8356017-8775006?url=index%3Dmusic&field-keywords=Bill+Hicks

Hicks, the comic messiah Ok he had a slight messianic tossing out the money changers demeanour but it's best if Bill gets to say it in his own words

His routine on gulf war one can be played today without changing the president's name. spooky and timeless.
