Oops! W sang the anthem in Spanish

Drudge quotes Kevin Phillips' book American Dynasty as follows:

"When visiting cities like Chicago, Milwaukee, or Philadelphia, in pivotal states, George W. Bush would drop in at Hispanic festivals and parties, sometimes joining in singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” in Spanish, sometimes partying with a “Viva Bush” mariachi band flown in from Texas."

Yet, W is on record this week saying he believes the anthem should be sung in English.  Hmm...

On top of that, there's the Library of Congress Spanish version of the anthem from 1919.

Like anything else, language can and will be used as a political tool.  Just beware that you're being played.
