Forigive me if I'm a day or two behind the pop news.  I TiVo'd American Idol this week and only watched it last night.

And what is up with Chris Daughtry being voted off??  In my eyes, he was the only legitimate "idol" left, and I assumed he'd breeze through this round because Katherine had such a mediocre night on Tuesday.

I mean, what are voters thinking?  Taylor and Elliot are both very good singers, but neither looks or acts like an American Idol.   Katherine looks the part, but her performances are too unpredictable—brilliant sometimes and flat others.

Chris was the whole package — looks, voice, personality.  Americans missed the boat on this one.  Luckily, Chris' career is not dependent on this show.  Based on what he's already shown us, I'm sure he'll get a contract and career of his own.
