Dale Brown appeared on Coast to Coast AM last night to discuss his latest book, Edge of Battle.  Brown has made his reputation writing military techno-thrillers, and this one is no different.

What I found intriguing is how he set this one on the Mexican border. 

At one point during the show, Brown said that in his research for the book, he discovered that most "illegals" in the US did not cross the border illegally, but simply stayed beyond the expiration of their visas. 

To me, that's a very interesting point.  I have long maintained that most Mexican illegals are not criminals, but simply desperate people who see working here as the only way to support their families.

I do not endorse the book because I have not read it.  But it might be worth checking out if you like that genre.
