Episcopal leaders apologize for gay bishop
This article dismayed me: the same council of bishops that appointed Gene Robinson in 2003 is now aplogizing for him.
Is it due to Robinson's job performance? Not at all. In fact, repeated google attempts have revealed little at all about the quality of his peformance or leadership.
It all comes down to his sexuality. And what a shame that is: that we still cling to an idea that somehow a person's moral worth is dependent on who they share a bed with.
Not only is that short-sighted and bigoted, it is also extremely self deceptive.
