Hottest July in Netherlands in 300 years

Apparently, the Dutch have been systematically measuring temperature longer than almost anyone else in the world, since 1710.  And their records show this is the warmest July in 300 years.

Before you all say AHA!, note this:  Dutch meteorologists say they cannot make a direct link between global warming and the heatwave in Europe, although the KNMI has forecast a clear warming trend in the next 50 years and an increasing number of heatwaves.

I stick to the idea that we may simply be living in a global warming trend that has little relation to man's activities.
