Bear Stearns bought for a song

Historic firm Bear Stearns was bought today for $2 a share.

During the Great Depression, large firms were bought for little or no money.  It's the way the financial elites consolidate their power.

Naysayers will always have reasons to excuse it away: it's a down market, the dollar is at historic lows, the subprime mortgage crisis spread firms far too thin.......Such arguments, although true, do not see the forest for the trees.

Who benefits from a historically low dollar?  Who benefits from financial firms and banks not being able to meet their obligations?  Who benefits from a down market?

JP Morgan does.
