Directive 51

I can't get into all the hubbub of the campaign process this year.  Part of my lack of enthusiasm comes from my dissatisfaction with all three candidates.

The rest of my apathy originates in a gnawing dread in the pit of my stomach that something, something terrible and dramatic, is going to happen to prevent this election from happening.

Before you label me as paranoid, you should probably watch this video (The top one is the one I mean) about National Security Directive 51, issued by President Bush in May 2007 in front of a bust of himself that does not contain an end date to his term.  No lie: the bust reads 2001-  .

Directive 51 is the plan the President has devised in case of national emergency or catashtrophe.

It's interesting to note that Hitler also had a directive 51.

If you think that FEMA camps are not real, you need to do your research.  You might want to start here.

I wish this were a joke or a paranoid delusion.  But the truth is often very painful and much stranger than any fiction I could devise.
