If you're one of the many people, like me, who has never bought into the religion that "global warming" has become, you should definitely make time to watch The Great Global Warming Swindle, a documentary from the UK's Channel 4.

It's been called controversial mostly because it simply contradicts what many now believe to be indisputable fact.  Like most skeptical people, I get very suspicious at anything that is declared a consensus, especially one where its proponents try to silence me for simply questioning their data.

If you were to take a quiz on which of the following is the LOWEST producer of CO2, what would you guess?
A. the ocean
B. volcanoes
C. plants and animals
D. mankind

The answer is D.  By a large margin.

This documentary makes me think, and that's what I like.  For instance, there are these ideas:

—CO2 follows temperature increases.  It does not cause them.

—CO2 is a relatively minor greenhouse gas.  Water vapor is by far the most important one.

—The sun, not greenhouse gases or mankind, is the main source of climate fluctuation on earth.  Occam's razor makes this one a no-brainer.

—Computer models, like statistics, can be altered and played with and fudged to support almost any thesis.

—Thirty years ago, the media was also obsessed with climate, but at that time, the fear was a new ice age.
