Penn and Teller are propagandists
Friends have been telling me for a long time that they love Penn and Teller's Bullshit series, so I finally checked out the episode on 9/11.
It sincerely pissed me off.
First of all, if you are going to talk about 9/11 truthers, please talk to ones who aren't lunatics. The handful of kooks they found are NOT representative of the movement.
They made no mention of the Loose Chnage films, no mention of Alex Jones or David Icke, or even the more famous 9/11 truth websites.
The evidence the use to counter the charges of 9/11 truthers include a university professor talking about the psychology of conpiracy advocates and how they take "random" facts and put them together in a different way.
The use a retired fire captain who says he can't imagine people in the government having such an evil agenda to attack their own country and kill 3000 of their own citizens.
Wow, hard hitting investigative skills there.
Most Americans can't imagine being that evil. Logically, that has nothing to do with such people existing.
Their biggest piece of evidence is a fire science expert who says that 10,000 gallons of jet fuel weakened the beams and brought the building down.
Ah, we're back to that again.
Look to a previous post on this site about 9/11 science where it is mathematically and scientifically proven that jet fuel cannot weaken steel.
Also look at films such as Loose Change, which points out that steel framed buildings have burned for much longer than the towers — ie 17 or 23 hours instead of 3 — and those buildings never collapsed.
Why are proponents of the official story so persistent in ignoring the simple fact that no steel framed building in history has ever collapsed due to fire, except on 9/11 when 3 of them did.
You want facts? I just gave you a big one.
The more facts 9/11 truth gives these people, the more selective they get in their acceptance of them, and the more specious their rhetoric becomes.
Well, just because it never has happened doesn't mean it cannot.........and planes have never flown into buildings before...........
This is not serious argumentation, but rather a type of denial.
As for Penn and Teller, they seem to subscribe to the school of thought that it disrespects the dead to ask questions. I disagree. I think it honors these people to find out exactly who murdered them.
Fairytales that religious fanatics based in caves in Afghanistan planned the highly complex act of hijacking four planes simultaneously and flying them into American landmarks does nothing but insult the memories of the dead.
