EU becoming policestate?
Steve McGiffen's excellent excellent editorial on Spectrezine questions the new "security" regulations for all EU nations regarding air travel.
He writes: Of course, none of us wants to be blown to bits, but there is no evidence that this approach of treating everyone as a suspect and depriving people of their most basic rights results in anything but the gathering of mountains of data beyond anyone's capacity to monitor.
That's what this new world order is all about: treating us all like criminals in the name of security from some unprovable threat.
He continues: The real purpose of such measures has little to do with the control of terrorism. It is, rather, to make people feel that their every move is being watched, that dangerous people are lurking around every corner, that our neighbours - especially our Muslim neighbours, it has to be said, or anyone about whom there is anything unusual whatsoever - are not to be trusted
Terrorists do exist, of course, but it is no more prevalent than it was before 9/11.
Intelligent people all over the world must realize that this amorphous threat is being used as a means of getting us to relinquish our liberty.
The first method of fighting back is giving up fear. Stop being afraid of something that, honestly, does not happen very often.
And then, vote out those representatives who continue to endorse such garbage legislation.
