At first glance, that is alarming, but if you look closely at the article, there is no proof or evidence given for this conclusion.
The article simply goes on an on about how catastrophic global warming will affect the UK, but we've already seen this kind of alarmism in the Al Gore film.
What evidence is causing this scientific advisor to make sure dire predictions?
